I just heard that Dolly Parton is coming to South by Southwest this year! And today is her 62nd birthday, which got me thinking about how wonderful Dolly Parton really is. I mean, even with Bush still in the White House, a war that is never going to end, and Tom's Cruise's latest video all over the internet, I can hear "Coat of Many Colors" and all is right with the world, if only for a few minutes.
And talk about real. With her fake boobs, cinched waist, blonde wigs, and Barbie doll heels, she is still more genuine than most people I know. A true queen of Country music. Happy Birthday, Dolly!
