About

Hi, I'm Catherine and I live in Austin, Texas.  I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Ryan, for 10 years, and I'm mom to two little boys, James and Rhys, who keep me busy 24 hours a day.  I earned a B.A. in English, an M.A. in Literature, and taught students of all ages, from babies in Mother's Day Out to community college students, sometimes on the same day, though not at the same time (because that would be weird and very hard to accomplish). I also did a short stint as a Mary Kay beauty consultant, but that is another blog entirely.

I have multiple interests including literature (obviously), art, interior decorating, music, movies, and fashion.  I'm also becoming an expert, whatever that means, in raising young children, feeling my way (in the dark) as I go. 

I've been blogging since 2008 and I love to write about topics near and dear to my heart, like my family and makeup.  I'm also very outspoken (online, at least) and have a bit of a big mouth, according to my mom.  I hope you'll join me as I tackle life with my own unique perspective.
