Just a Reminder

As I prepare for my VBAC this summer, I'm reminded that April is Cesarean Awareness Month. My younger sister is expecting her first child a few weeks before my due date, and I am so proud to watch her grow into an educated pregnant woman and mother. She already knows that a healthy baby is not all that matters, but that mothers matter, and birth matters, too. And, perhaps most importantly, it's okay to grieve.
